One method we use in the lab is Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI). Scanning takes place at UCSD Center for fMRI (CFMRI) on campus. CFMRI has policies in place for safety and training and all members of the lab must follow these carefully.

Students interested in fMRI are encouraged to take courses offered by CFMRI faculty.
